Wildlife & Conservation
The Grover-Blaney United States Forest Service (USFS) Allotment, Willow Creek and Swab Creek state land parcels are located within identified mule deer and moose crucial range. These parcels also encompass creeks that have been identified as Salt River spawning tributaries and a conservation area by WGFD.
Social
Additionally, the use of virtual fencing is anticipated to have a positive social impact, where livestock can be directed outside of designated campground locations, have less access to busy county roads and prevent livestock from having access to surrounding private property.
Goals
The 3D Ranch and the USFS have cooperatively developed a grazing rotation to improve upland and riparian condition on the Grover-Blaney allotment which would have required the installation of 4 miles of fence without the implementation of the virtual fence system.
